Many Christian schools currently use secular textbooks because they believe these books reflect the greatest available scholarship, backed by modern educational theory and expertise.
Ironically, recent concerns voiced by secular educators reveal the opposite to be true.
The issue of textbook censorship reveals the depth of philosophical problems inherent in the secular textbook industry.
So… what is “censorship”?
It usually means suppressing some form of communication that someone considers objectionable.
But…who decides what is objectionable?
